Big News!
Peter Slapnicher
I am so thrilled to announce that My Only Wife has been named a finalist for the PEN/ Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction alongside these remarkable works:
- A Land More Kind Than Home (William Morrow), Wiley Cash
- A Naked Singularity (University of Chicago Press), Sergio de la Pava
- Happiness Is a Chemical in the Brain (W.W. Norton & Co.), Lucia Perillo
- Battleborn (Riverhead Books), Claire Vaye Watkins
Judges, to whom I'm so incredibly thankful, this year are: Tom Drury, Danielle Evans, and Donald Ray Pollock. Winners will be announced later this summer, but I really can't imagine feeling better than I feel right now.
But that's not all! I have a new story, "Filch and Rot," up at Wag's Revue, as well as work from Mary Miller, an essay from Ander Monson, and interviews with Michele Orange and Sandra Bernhard: Wag's Revue
I also have a new poem, "A Desert is a Growth," in the new issue of Lies/Isle in the company of Molly Brodak and M Kitchell: LIES/ISLE
Such great news and company all around!
